Now, let’s try the following game!

Find five everyday items around your house (e.g., a broom, a book, a pencil, a pillow).

Pick each one up and use it as you normally would. Pay attention to how you are holding it and think about the following questions:

  • Is it heavy?
  • Is it light?
  • Is it easy to hold?
  • Do you need to make a lot of effort to hold it?

Next, put the item down and act out how you would hold the object. Can you make your movements match?

Let’s get started!

An image of a child, with four boxes that have questions and answers. First box has the following text: I saw, which is followed by the answer: a drama story about Goldilocks and the Three bears. The second box has the following questions: Did you enjoy the drama story? How did you know? What parts were your favourite? This is followed by the answer: I enjoyed the drama story a lot. I knew because I was smiling a lot. My favourite part is when the three bears come home. The third box has the following questions: Did you not enjoy the drama story? How did you know? What parts were your least favourite? The answer is: I did not like the part where Goldilocks ate their food because that’s not a nice thing to do. The fourth and last box has the following questions: Would you watch it or something similar again? Do you like this kind of drama story? The answer is: This drama story had lots of fun props and it was a good story. I liked seeing the people pretend to be bears. That was silly. I would watch it again. Maybe there are other drama stories about fairy tales? That would be fun to see!
