Read the following story out loud:
A Day at the Park
Amoy and Prue went to the park with fruit, juice and their swimsuits.
They ran up a tall hill. From the top of the hill, they saw a small pond and a blue boat.
"Let's sail the blue boat," said Amoy. They pushed the blue boat into the pond. It began to float.
Oh no! The blue boat had a crack!
"It's okay,” Prue said, "I have glue to fix the blue boat." They sailed the blue boat and had fun. Then they sat under an old tree and had fruit and juice for lunch.
On the way back, they heard a duck quack. The duck was stuck in the mud.
"We need to rescue the duck!" said Prue. Amoy used a stick to pull the duck out.
"Is it true? Did you rescue the duck?” said Prue.
“It is true! The duck is free!” said Amoy.
They saw the time and knew they were due home. The sky was blue but the sun was going down. They had a great day with the blue boat, eating fruit, and they even got to rescue a duck!
