My shiny teeth and me

Sometimes in the morning a person's breath may not smell very good.

Brushing teeth helps to remove bacteria that builds up overnight.

If teeth are not brushed often, a substance known as tartar will build up on the surface of the teeth. This can become difficult to clean.

Teeth brushing is important to help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Tooth decay is damage to a tooth's surface, or enamel. Tooth decay can lead to cavities.

Keeping your teeth clean

Sugary drinks are not good for teeth. They stick to the surface. Bacteria then breaks down the sugar and makes acid. Acid damages the teeth. Regular teeth brushing should help to prevent any damage to the teeth.
