There are many different types of advertisements, or ads. Some are on the radio, some on TV, social media, in print, or on billboards. Are the images below familiar to you?

Consider some advertisements that you know. Choose one example to use. Next, consider the following questions about your advertisement.
- Who is it for?
- What are they trying to sell?
- Whose point of view? How do you know?
- How does the advertisement make you connect or relate to the product?

Planning
Choose a product and design an advertisement for it. When planning your advertisement, consider the questions in the following chart. Keep your "target audience" in mind (who are you selling to?). Include a picture of the item, the name of it, and 2-3 words to describe it.

Designing and sharing
The next step is to apply everything you’ve planned in your graphic organizer to create an advertisement. Create your advertisement using paper and other art materials, digitally on a device, or as a script for a radio advertisement.
