Strategies for an effective presentation

There are many options that a presenter may consider before their presentation. They want to deliver an effective presentation, so they may choose a variety of strategies to include in their presentation to engage their audience.

The following are different categories that presenters may consider:

  • verbal strategies
  • visual and audio aids
  • non-verbal strategies
  • purpose and audience

These strategies are also evident within any text. The author may choose to use capitals, punctuation, various fonts, various sentence structures, or be very selective in their word choice in order to correctly convey their meaning to their audience. These strategies can change the tone, pace, volume, and meaning of the text.

Let’s explore each of these categories in the following checklist.
