Traditions are passed through families from generation to generation. Communities also pass down traditions. Festivals are one way but there are many ways that traditions can be passed down.

Communities will have a special way to celebrate holidays. These traditions will be passed down through generations.

Many communities have celebrations and festivals where people can share traditional food, be a part of activities, and experience special clothing, stories, dances, and games that are a part of this community.

Think about and list some restaurants, buildings, shops, or spaces that represent a variety of cultures in your community. You can use your notebook or use the computer. If you would like, you can use speech-to-text or audio recording tools to record your thoughts.

Pick a religious building, a food, an object, a special area in your neighbourhood, or a restaurant that has meaning to you and your family. It can be related to your country of origin or something that is special to your family.
