The equator is an imaginary line around the middle of the Earth. It is halfway between the North and South Poles. It divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

A home can be a cabin built out of cedar logs with a sloping roof and a chimney. These types of houses have been built all over the world. They are log homes!
