The environment includes the land, the water, and all the living things in the world. Global citizens also try and find solutions to problems that can help not just their own community, but communities all over the world.

Take a break!
Take a break before continuing onto the next part!
One way to be a global citizen is to share what you’ve learned with others. Now, you are going to write an opinion paragraph to share what you think is the most important thing you can do to take care of the environment.
What is an opinion paragraph?
Think of a time when you didn’t agree with someone about a topic. Think of the reasons why you felt you were right. Try to imagine why the other person felt that they were right. An opinion is a personal feeling or view about something. People have different opinions on different topics.
An opinion paragraph is a chance to share how you feel about a topic and to support your opinion with examples and details.
Student Tips
